Visa Requirements for Russian and CIS Nationals
Holders of a passport issued by the Russian Federation do not require a visa to enter Mauritius.
Holders of a passport issued by Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan may be granted an Entry Visa for 60 days on arrival for business or tourism purposes.
Every person shall:
- hold a passport which is valid beyond the intended period of stay;
- hold old a valid return passage ticket to travel back to his country of origin or residence;
- be eligible to re-enter his country of origin or residence;
- have adequate funds to meet the cost of his stay;
- have confirmed hotel booking or sponsorship for accommodation;
- not engage in any gainful activity; and
- not be a prohibited immigrant.
Visas and Extensions of stay are issued free of charge.
Some of the advantages of a Mauritius Passport are as follows:
1) confirms one's citizenship
2) allows the holder to travel to Mauritius on a one-way ticket and reside there for more than 2 months (and indefinitely);
3) buy property, cars and other assets of any value in Mauritius;
4) avail of tourist rebate packages open to Mauritian nationals.
